Where deeper understanding meets meaningful, lasting change.
This is where you stop feeling like you have to manage everything alone.
Where deeper understanding leads to healthier patterns, stronger relationships, and meaningful change.
Helping you feel more grounded, connected, and confident in yourself again.
You Are in the Right Place If…
You struggle to set boundaries or prioritize yourself.
You tend to overextend, avoid disappointing others, or put everyone else’s needs before your own. Saying “no” feels uncomfortable, guilt shows up quickly, and relationships can leave you feeling emotionally drained, misunderstood, or resentful.
Your past still feels more present than you would like.
You know certain experiences affected you, but you are tired of feeling emotionally reactive, guarded, overwhelmed, or easily triggered. Even when you logically know you are safe, your nervous system does not always feel that way.
You feel stuck in the same relationship patterns.
You overthink interactions, fear conflict, people-please, shut down, or struggle to communicate your needs. Maybe you keep finding yourself in the same painful dynamics, questioning yourself, or wondering why relationships feel harder than they should.
Your relationship feels more disconnected than connected.
You and your partner may keep having the same arguments, struggle to feel understood, or feel stuck in cycles of defensiveness, distance, or resentment. Maybe trust feels strained, conflict feels exhausting, or you miss feeling close and supported.
You are constantly hard on yourself.
No matter how much you accomplish, it rarely feels like enough. You replay mistakes, overanalyze interactions, hold yourself to impossible standards, and struggle to quiet your inner critic. You may appear capable and put together on the outside while privately feeling anxious, emotionally exhausted, or never quite “good enough.”
You are ready for something to change.
You are thoughtful, self-aware, and have tried to figure things out on your own, but still feel stuck in patterns that leave you overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally drained. You are ready to better understand yourself, heal what feels unresolved, and create healthier, more sustainable ways of relating—to yourself and the people around you.
Dr. Kaylen Fitzpatrick | Licensed Psychologist
Hi! I’m Dr. Kaylen Fitzpatrick
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist based in South Florida, providing virtual therapy for adults navigating trauma, attachment wounds, perfectionism, relational conflict, and pregnancy or postpartum transitions. I work with thoughtful, high-functioning individuals who often appear to be holding everything together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves.
You may be the person others rely on, yet privately struggle with overthinking, self-criticism, or a sense that you can never fully relax. Maybe relationships feel harder than they should—you find yourself overanalyzing interactions, fearing rejection, struggling to trust, avoiding conflict, or repeating painful patterns you cannot quite explain. You may feel emotionally reactive in relationships, disconnected from your partner, or frustrated that the same issues continue showing up despite your efforts to change.
Perhaps experiences from the past still affect you more than you would like to admit. You know something feels unresolved, even if you cannot always put words to it. Or maybe pregnancy, postpartum, or becoming a parent has shifted your identity in unexpected ways, leaving you feeling overwhelmed, unlike yourself, or carrying guilt for not feeling how you thought you “should.”
My practice focuses on helping adults heal from unresolved experiences, better understand themselves, strengthen relationships, and feel more emotionally grounded. I specialize in trauma, attachment wounds, perfectionism, relational challenges, and postpartum mental health, helping clients work through emotional overwhelm, trust issues, self-doubt, identity shifts, and patterns that no longer feel sustainable.
My approach is integrative, relational, trauma-informed, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. I draw on evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused strategies, and EMDR-informed interventions, to help you process difficult experiences, regulate emotions, improve communication, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Therapy with me is collaborative, personalized, and focused on helping you feel more like yourself again. Together, we will work toward healing old wounds, improving relationships, reducing emotional distress, and helping you move through life with more clarity, confidence, and peace.

FAQ:
-
I specialize in helping adults navigate trauma, attachment wounds, perfectionism, relationship stress, pregnancy and postpartum mental health, emotional overwhelm, and unhealthy relationship patterns. Many of my clients are thoughtful, high-functioning individuals who struggle with overthinking, self-criticism, communication difficulties, trust issues, people-pleasing, or feeling emotionally exhausted despite appearing “fine” on the outside.
-
Yes. Relationship concerns are a major focus of my work. You do not need to attend couples therapy to improve your relationships. Individual therapy can help you better understand attachment patterns, improve communication, set healthier boundaries, navigate conflict, rebuild trust, and better understand why certain relationship dynamics continue to show up.
-
Yes. I work with adults experiencing the lasting effects of trauma, difficult childhood experiences, emotionally painful relationships, or unresolved experiences that continue to affect emotions, relationships, trust, or self-esteem. Trauma does not always look obvious—sometimes it shows up as anxiety, emotional reactivity, perfectionism, people-pleasing, difficulty trusting others, or feeling stuck in the same patterns.
-
Yes. I am EMDR-trained and offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy as part of my trauma-focused treatment approach. EMDR is an evidence-based method that helps clients process and heal from distressing memories, reduce emotional triggers, and build healthier responses to stress.
Alongside EMDR, I also integrate trauma-focused and trauma-informed therapy techniques into my work. This includes helping clients process difficult memories, build emotional resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies. My approach draws from evidence-based modalities like CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and process-oriented practices to support healing and growth.
-
Absolutely. Many of my clients struggle with perfectionism, self-criticism, anxiety, and overthinking. You may feel pressure to always get things “right,” replay conversations, struggle to relax, or feel like nothing you do is ever enough. Therapy can help reduce the pressure, quiet the inner critic, and develop healthier, more sustainable ways of coping.
-
Yes. We treat perinatal and postpartum mental health, supporting individuals through challenges like postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, intrusive thoughts, birth trauma, and the emotional adjustment to parenthood.
Therapy can help you process your experiences, regulate emotions, and feel more grounded during this transition.

I am a PSYPACT-authorized psychologist, which means I can provide telehealth therapy across multiple participating U.S. states without requiring separate licenses in each one. PSYPACT (The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact) is an agreement that allows licensed psychologists to offer online therapy to clients located in other PSYPACT states.
If you live in a PSYPACT participating state, you can work with me via secure video sessions, even if I’m not physically located in your state. This makes it easier to access therapy when you move, travel, or live in an area with limited mental health resources.
You can check the full list of PSYPACT states here to see if you’re eligible for online therapy with me.
